chopsticks' story

This story consists of a 2 part background of 2 very different chopsticks.

Chopstick 1:
It’s a durable pair of chopsticks used by an elite chef.

They are the chef’s favorite utensils because they are very efficient.
The chef used them for anything and almost everything.
They were worn out by the chef, but always praised ‘durable’, ‘one of a kind’, ‘the best’ by the chef.
One of them was always used to stir sizzling hot food over the fire, in time; it became charred to the state that the chef could no longer use it and disposed it in bin.

Chopstick 2:
It’s an artistic piece of accessory.

An artist had a niece who’s birthday is coming.
He decided to give her something special as a birthday gift.
Thus, he painted and carved a pair of chopsticks with magnificent designs.
The niece loved them and wore them almost everyday.
One day, friends of the niece were complimenting her hair chopsticks.
This half of the chopstick got arrogant and wanted to show off more of its beauty, thus, it inched out a bit.
Later that day, when the niece was catching a bus, that chopstick dropped on the streets and no one noticed.
Then it was swept up by a street cleaner and dumped in the same bin as chopstick 1.

They met each other:

(Casual talk)
Soon after, the garbage collector came and while hulling, the chopsticks fell through a hole in to bag and lay on the ground helplessly.
An antique collector walked past, notices them and said ‘wow! What an interesting pair of chopsticks, a quality one and a beautiful one. It’s not everyday you see this kind of pair.' And took it home, cleaned them and they're put on display.
